AFP is designed to allow printing on page printers. These fonts allow customers
more flexibility in printing. Some common uses for these families are for printing
books, brochures, business plans, handbooks, magazines, manuals, operating
schedules, price lists, presentation materials, headlines, subtitles, and reports.
Some of the features of IBM Advanced Function Printing are:
Provides a double-byte font library for use with 240 dots-per-inch, non-impact
printers attached to an iSeries server
Enhances system management flexibility with AFP resources transfer
Allows for growth and flexibility in the use of AFP printers
