FabGuard Explorer Operation
10.1 Operation (FabGuard Explorer)
Transpector CPM can be operated by any version of FabGuard gas analysis
software. This chapter provides information on how to use FabGuard Explorer to
operate the Transpector CPM Gas Analysis System.
FabGuard Explorer uses a bin to collect a specific piece of data. Bins collect
selected masses (e.g., 2, 4, 18, 28) as opposed to collecting an entire range of
masses (e.g., analog scan from 2 to 28, where each mass is collected for every
scan).
10.2 Introduction
FabGuard Explorer software operates under Windows 7 and Windows 8.
FabGuard Explorer provides valve control through recipes, manual control of
components, and status information. It provides basic residual gas analyzer
features, including trend analysis, bar graph, leak check, and analog/selected peak
modes. Process monitoring includes recipe generation, automated data collection,
norm generation, and process deviation.

This chapter assumes that the Transpector CPM Gas Analysis System is properly
installed, and FabGuard Explorer software is installed and running on the computer
intended to control the Transpector CPM Gas Analysis System.
