Field-Replaceable Units in a QFX5100 Device
Field-replaceable units (FRUs) are components that you can replace at your site. The
QFX5100 device FRUs are hot-insertable and hot-removable: you can remove and replace
one of them without powering off the switch or disrupting the switching function.
CAUTION: Replace a failed power supply with a blank panel or new power
supply within one minute of removal to prevent chassis overheating. The
switch continues to operate with only one power supply running. Replace a
failed fan module with a new fan module within one minute of removal to
prevent chassis overheating. Do not operate the switch with missing FRUs
for longer than one minute.
