Viewing errors in the error queue
When the ERR indicator on the display is lit, it indicates that the instrument has detected an error
condition.
In general, the ERR indicator and error queue operate as follows:
• The instrument turns the ERR indicator off after you view the error queue.
• If there are no error messages in the error queue when you view the queue, the display shows
NO ERRORS.
• If there are more than 20 errors found, the last error in the error queue will be replaced with the
error -350. The -350 error indicates too many errors.
The instrument clears the error queue when the instrument is turned off, or when the following
command is received:
*CLS

To view messages in the error queue, perform the following steps:
1. Press the SHIFT and CONFIG (MENU) keys to display the MENU options.
2. Use the â–º and â—„ keys to display SYSTEM, and then press the ENTER key.
3. Use the â–º and â—„ keys to display SCPI ERR, and then press the ENTER key. The display shows:
• ERROR CODE - Refer to Error codes (on page 6-3) for information.
• NO ERRORS - Indicates that there are no error messages in the queue.
Viewing system version
The Model 2110 system version is a number that indicates the version of firmware installed on each
of the instrument's processors.
To view the system version, use the following procedure:
1. Press the SHIFT and CONFIG (MENU) keys to display the MENU options.
2. Use the â–º and â—„ keys to display SYSTEM, and then press the ENTER key.
3. Use the â–º and â—„ keys to display SYSTEM VER, and then press the ENTER key. The display
shows numbers in the following format:
x.xx-yy-zz
Where:
x.xx - indicates the measurement processor
yy - indicates the I/O processor
zz - indicates the front-panel processor
