Model 2657A High Power System SourceMeter® Instrument Reference Manual Section 7: TSP command reference

Details
If any parameters are omitted or nil, the operator is prompted to enter them using the front panel. Data for
pulsed current measurements, voltage levels, and timestamps are stored in smuX.nvbuffer1.
To perform the specified number of pulse V, measure I cycles, this function:
1. Sets the smu to output bias volts and dwell for toff seconds
2. Sets the smu to output level volts and dwell for ton seconds
3. Performs voltage measurement with source at level volts
4. Sets the smu to output bias volts for toff seconds
5. Repeats steps 2 through 4 for the remaining points pulse-measure cycles

Example
smua.measure.nplc = 0.001
PulseVMeasureI(smua, -50, 125, 10e-3, 20e-3,
10)
SMU A outputs −50 V and dwells for 10 ms,
outputs 125 V and dwells for 20 ms. The
current measurement occurs during the
dwell period. After the measurement, the
output returns to −50 V and dwells for
10 ms. This pulse-measure process repeats
9 more times.
