Compliance
SMU output values If you specify power compliance, the SMU changes the current or voltage
compliance every sweep step. Hence, the SMU can apply voltage or current with the
maximum power. Figure 6-5 shows the differences between the output with power
compliance and the output without power compliance, for MPSMU.

NOTE If you specify power compliance, the measurement time increases slightly because
the E5260/E5270 adjusts the compliance for every sweep step.
