Compliance
Operation of SMU in Current Output
The I/V characteristics of the SMU in current output is determined by the current
output value (Iset) and the voltage compliance value. Refer to Figure 6-7.
The SMU output depends on the SMU I/V characteristics and the characteristics of
the test device (DUT). The output value will be Iset, Vcomp, or Irev. To force the
Iset value, the voltage compliance must be set to the allowable value shown in
Figure 6-6. If you do not set the allowable compliance value, the SMU forces the
Irev value as shown in Figure 6-8.
In Figure 6-7, ΔI is 2.5 % to 12 % of the range value in the current output range.
