4.1 Transmission with F-Code (F-Code TX)
This machine supports F-code communication defined by the Communications and Information network As-
sociation of Japan (CIAJ).
The F code is a mail box function that uses SUB (SUB address), SEP (selective polling), [SID], and [PWD]
(password) that are defined in the G3 standard of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T).
Specify the following F code using the Keypad to suit your environment.
Tips
- The F-code function is available only in fax machines that supports the F-code function. Before config-
uring settings, check that both the machines support the F-code function.
- If an F code (SUB or SID) is registered in the one-touch dial or speed dial in advance, you can establish
an F-code communication.
- A confidential communication is available between machines compatible with an F code.
4.1.1 Specifying an F code at fax transmission
Specify an F code when typing in a fax number directly using the Keypad.
1 Enter a destination fax number using the Keypad.
2 Press ,.
3 Use +, to select [SUB, SID SETTING], and press the OK key.
4 Enter a SUB address using the Keypad, and press the OK key.
% To correct a numeric value, press the Start/Stop key.
% When entering a password, go to Step 5.
% When not entering a password, press the OK key, and go to Step 6.
5 Enter the password using the Keypad, and press the OK key.
% To correct a numeric value, press the Clear/Stop key.
6 Press the Start key.
This starts scanning and sending.
F-Code Contents
SUB Specify this option when sending a fax using an F code. This code can be
specified using up to 20 digits.
PASSWORD (SID) Specify this option when restricting recipients with a password. This code
can be specified using up to 20 digits.
POLL ID (SEP) Specify this option when the recipient makes a call to ask the sender to
send the original prepared in the sender side to the recipient.
