5.2.2 Selecting the Basic or Advanced mode

For details on the basic transmission procedure, refer to page 5-3.
1 Load the original, and specify a destination.
2 Press ,.
3 Use +, to select [BASIC/ADVANCED], and press the OK key.
4 Use +, to select [BASIC] or [ADVANCED], and press the OK key.
% Selecting [BASIC] returns to the FAX OTHER SETTINGS screen.
% If [BASIC] is selected, each item is set as shown below.
[MAX TX SIZE]: [A4]
[MAX QUALITY]: [FINE]
[CODING METHOD]: [MH]
% If you select [ADVANCED], go to a desired step in page 5-8.
5.2.3 Specifying the maximum transmission size
1 Select [ADVANCED] in the screen that enables selection of the Basic or Advanced mode, and press the
OK key.
% For details on how to display the screen that enables selection of the Basic or Advanced mode, refer
to page 5-8.
2 Use +, to select [MAX TX SIZE], and press the OK key.
3 Use +, to select [A3], [B4], or [A4], and press the OK key.
4 Select [RETURN] twice in the displayed screen.
This returns to the E-mail address entry screen.
5.2.4 Specifying the maximum transmission resolution
1 Select [ADVANCED] in the screen that enables selection of the Basic or Advanced mode, and press the
OK key.

to page 5-8.
2 Use +, to select [MAX QUALITY], and press the OK key.
3 Use +, to select [FINE] or [S-FINE], and press the OK key.
4 Select [RETURN] twice in the displayed screen.
This returns to the E-mail address entry screen.
