2. Fully retract the packer.
3. Open both tailgates and install their safety props.
4. Lower the tailgates until they rest on their respective safety prop.
5. Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle on page 14).
6. Enter the body and remove the nut that is at the rear end of the hopper divider (see Figure
3-141).

7. Disconnect the divider front end from the packer panel.
Unscrew the vertical bolt and push out the pin to free the hopper divider (see Figure 3-142).

8. Move the hopper divider slightly away from the middle wall of the body.
9. Go to the other side of the middle wall and remove the exterior guide by removing all 14 bolts
that retain it (see Figure 3-143).
