Drain the Mixture
If all the mixture has flowed into the third chamber, the processor
pumps the mixture to the sewer.
4.3.4.4 Test Results
The degree of viscosity of the mixture determines the time necessary for
the mixture to drain from the flow chamber to the waste chamber. The
longer the flow time, the higher the class of the somatic cell count.
The result of the test is send via the MQC-II to the T4C software
immediately after the test of a quarter is finished. T4C adds the result to
the data of the tested cow. The class of the somatic cell count can be
retrieved by the user in T4C.
Each class represents a range of cells as shown in the following table.
Class Cell count from to
I 0 200,000
II 200,001 400,000
III 400,001 800,000
IV 800,001 2,000,000
V 2,000,001 >
If the defined class of the somatic cell count is greater than or equal to
class IV, the processor starts a processor rinse to clean all chambers.
4.3.4.5 Attentions
An attention is generated when the result of the test meets certain
criteria. These attentions can be found in T4C (page 6-19). Some of the
attention criteria can be adjusted.
An attention is generated if:
• The somatic cell count is classified as class V
• The sum of the last three tests equals or exceeds a threshold
• The sum of the last six tests equals or exceeds a threshold.
The Somatic Cell Count is Classified as Class V
If the test result of a quarter is classified as class V an attention is
generated.
No adjustments can be made to this criterion.
The Sum of the Last Three Tests Equals or Exceeds a Threshold
If the sum of the classes of the last three tests for a quarter equals or
exceeds a threshold an attention is generated.
