4.2.7 Milk Quality Control System MQC-C (Option)
4.2.7.1 General
The function of the Milk Quality Control - Somatic Cell Count Indicator
(MQC-C) is to measure the class of the somatic cell count of the milk per
cow per quarter. The test is based on the drain time of a mixture of the
milk and Astri-Cell. The test also indicates the udder health.
The MQC-C has the following parts:
• The sampler
• The processor
• The wall socket.
The CAN-bus of the milking robot supplies the electrical power to the
MQC-C.
The MQC-C gets input (when to test) from the MQC-II and sends output
(test results, attentions) to the MQC-II. Results and class attentions of the
test can be found in the T4C software. Hardware-related alarm messages
can be found on the X-Link. The attention lists generated by T4C can be
found on the X-Link at the T4C tab (page 4-32).
The following figure shows the parts of the MQC-C and their position on
the ASTRONAUT A3 Next.
