7.6 Feeding System
7.6.1 Clean the Feeding System
Preparation
WARNING
Block the cow traffic to the milking robot before you do this
procedure.
1. Take the milking robot out of operation with the X-link (page 6-1).
2. Select:
• Tab [Test]
• [Box]
• [Gates].
3. In the field Gates, select Exit gate, [Open]
Clean
1. Go into the box via the exit gate.
2. Loosen the bolts (2, fig. 33,
page 7-15) and (3) while you hold the
feed hopper cover (1).
3. Overturn the feed hopper cover (1).
4. Push the feed hopper cover (1) up and remove it.
5. Put the cover on a safe place.
WARNING
Do not touch or put your fingers near the moving parts.
6. Push the chute cover (1, fig. 34, page 7-16) up and remove it.
7. Clean all the parts with a hard broom brush.
• Hammer with your hands on the feed chute (2, fig. 35,
page 7-
17) to release it.
8. Make sure:
• All parts are clean
• The pneumatic feed cylinder is installed correctly (1) and
cannot be removed.
9. Push the chute cover (1, fig. 34,
page 7-16) with its hooks into the
holes in the frame and push it down.
10. Install the feed hopper cover (1, fig. 33,
page 7-15) with the bolts (2
and 3).
11. Go out of the box via the exit gate.
