10.3 MQC-C Process Flow
The following table shows the shapes used in the flowcharts and their
meaning.
Shape Meaning
Start or End
This symbol represents the start and the end of a flow in a
flowchart.
Decision
This symbol represents a decision to be made. Mostly a 'Yes' or a
'No'.
Instruction
This symbol represents an instruction of what you have to do.
Instruction with accompanying procedure
This symbol represents an instruction of what you have to do. A
written procedure is available in the manual.
See the table at the end of the flowchart where the procedure can
be found.
Loop limiter
This symbol represents a limitation on how many times you have to
do a certain action in case of a loop.
Reference from
This symbol represents the target of a reference.
In case of a multi-page flowchart, the source is not mentioned.
Reference to
This symbol represents a link to another part of the flowchart.
The first number refers to the target.
The second number, between the brackets, is used to identify the
page on which the target is located (only used on a multi-page
flowchart).
External reference
This symbol represents an external link and is used when refer to
another flow chart.
See the table at the end of the flowchart where the procedure can
be found.
