fingerprint authentication system is off

display when the engine switch is turned
off. This message will be displayed for 10
days.
To protect the engine switch from dam-
age, make sure to observe the following
precautions.
O Do not subject the part to strong
impacts. Do not remove, disassemble
or modify the part. Doing so could
result in a malfunction or damage.
O Do not poke or scratch the surface of
the fingerprint sensor with a pen or
other sharp object. Doing so could
damage the surface of the fingerprint
sensor.
O The part may become dirty with pro-
longed use. Do not use a sharp object
to clean away any dirt.
O Fingerprint authentication may fail if
the surface of the fingerprint sensor or
the finger being used is wet or dirty.
O Do not attach stickers or apply ink to
the surface of the fingerprint sensor.
O Clean the surface of the fingerprint
sensor periodically. Dust, finger
grease, sweat, etc. or condensation on
the surface of the fingerprint sensor
could cause a malfunction.
O If any substance that could cause a
malfunction or damage (dust, sand,
dye, ink, soap, detergent, acid or acidic
food, oil, lotion, etc.) becomes
attached to the fingerprint sensor,
clean it off immediately.
O Avoid using detergents (such as glass
cleaner, spray liquid cleaner, solvents,
and ammonia) or abrasives (such as
wax or sandpaper). Doing so could
result in a malfunction or damage.
