The child restraint system compatibility
table (oP.94), with symbols, displays
the types of usable child restraint sys-
tems and possible seating position
installation for the child restraint sys-
tem owned by the customer. Confirm
also in accordance with “Confirming
the possible installation seating posi-
tions and the Mass Group for the seat
belt installation type child restraint sys-
tems”.

If your child restraint system is of “universal” category, you can install it on the posi-
tions mentioned by U or UF in the table below (UF is for forward-facing child
restraint systems only). Child restraint systems category and mass group can be

O If the driver’ s seat interferes with the
child restraint system and prevents it
from being attached correctly, attach
the child restraint system to the left-
hand rear seat.
O Adjust the front passenger seat so that
it does not interfere with the child
restraint system.
O When installing a child restraint sys-
tem on the second center seat, adjust
both seat cushions to the same posi-
tion and align both seatbacks at the
same angle. The seatbacks must be
adjusted to the same angle. Other-
wise, the child restraint system cannot
be securely restrained and this may
cause death or serious injuries in the
event of sudden braking, sudden
swerving or an accident.
O Child restraint system installed on the
third seat (if equipped) should not con-
tact the second seatbacks.
