17.1 Lifting Pole
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to incorrect use!
► Ensure the Lifting Pole is correctly inserted to a bushing for Lifting Pole in inner corners of the mattress supp-
ort platform at bed head end!
► Ensure the Lifting Pole is xed above the mattress support platform to avoid any risk of the bed tipping over!
Lifting Pole is intended for supporting a patient who uses it to sit or lift by himself / herself or with the help of a caregiver.
Standard Lifting Pole is not compatible with the Essenza 300 with Lateral Tilt or with Accessory Adaptor.
Lifting Pole must be placed into a bushing at head end of the mattress support platform.
Maximum Load of the Lifting Pole is 75 kg.
To ensure safe use of the Lifting Pole:
► Never exceed the maximum load of 75 kg.
► Avoid collision between Lifting Pole and the Head Board during Backrest adjustment or tilting to the Trendelenburg Positi-
on.
► Never use the Lifting Pole for demanding rehabilitation exercises.
► To prevent the bed from tipping over, ensure that the Lifting Pole does not project out from the bed.
To install the Lifting Pole:
► Insert Lifting Pole into a bushing at head end of the mattress support platform.
► Ensure the Lifting Pole is safely installed above the mattress support platform.
► Ensure the safety pin of the Lifting Pole is locked in a compatible bushing.
► Attach a Triangular Holder with an adjustable strap to the Lifting Pole.
