17.21 Extender for Telescopic Siderails

Extender for Telescopic Siderails is intended to be placed on the Telescopic Siderails only.
The Extender for Telescopic Siderails can be used with the compatible mattresses with maximum mattress height 8 cm.

17.22 Extender for Collapsible Siderails

► Ensure the Extender for Collapsible Siderails was installed correctly before use! The rosette nuts are intended
to be pointed out from the bed.

► The Extender can be used with Collapsible Siderails only. The manufacturer will not be held responsible for
any consequences if the Extender is used with other types of siderails.
► Movement of the bed must be considered with extra care if the Extender is installed.
► Use of the Extender in a manner other then stated in these instructions for use is on the responsibility of per-
sonnel. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for incorrect use!
Extender for Collapsible Siderails is intended to be used if a mattress higher than the maximum mattress height was placed on
the bed. The Extender is used to raise the height of the siderails and helps to secure patients safety. The Extender is designed for
Collapsible Siderails only.
The Extender for Collapsible Siderails can be used with the compatible mattresses with maximum mattress height 26 cm.
Install the Extender as follows:
► Place the Extender on the upper edge bar of the collapsible siderail towards bed head end. Siderails must be in the upper
position.
► Insert the screw from the inside of the bed through the securing hole in the Extender. The square hole is pointed into the
mattress support platform.
► Secure the screw with the plastic rosette nut and tighten. The rosette nut is pointed out from the bed.
► Check that the Extender is secured correctly.
