► Essenza 300 bed should be left in its lowest position when the patient is unattended in order to redu-
ce risk of injury due to falls!

► Siderails of Essenza 300 should be located in the „up“ position to reduce the risk of the patient acci-
dentally slipping or rolling o󰀨 the mattress!

Risk of trapping or squeezing because of patient´s body constitution disproportionate to the size of mattress
support platform!

► Certain bed positions are not suitable for specic diagnosis/medical conditions. Fowler position is
not suitable for spinal cord injuries! Trendelenburg position is not suitable for patients with higher intracranial
pressure!

Any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device should be reported to the manufacturer and
the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or patient is established!

► Lateral Tilt of the Essenza 300 with Lateral Tilt is a positioning function intended for trained medical
personnel only. The use of the Lateral Tilt, including its angle of adjustment, must be preceded by an evalua-
tion of the patient‘s condition by the sta󰀨. This evaluation must take into account all risks resulting from the
physical and mental state of the patient, especially the risk of fall, and loss of bed stability.
WARNING!
Ensure any button of the control elements is not involuntarily pressed by persons, by the bed accessories, by
the mattress or by the other objects!
► To avoid unintended activation of moving parts during any use of the bed, always check that none of
the buttons on the control elements of the bed is pressed!
► Always ensure any control panel keyboard is not covered by anything, loaded by anything or pressed
by anything!
