8 Putting into Service
WARNING!
Risk of injury when working on the bed!
► Ensure that the bed is disconnected from the mains connection prior to putting into service, putting out of
service and maintenance.
► Ensure that the castors are locked prior to putting into service, putting out of service and maintenance.
CAUTION!
Risk of material damage due to incorrect putting into service!
► Ensure that putting into service is performed exclusively by manufacturer´s customer service or trained hospi-
tal personnel.
CAUTION!
Risk of material damage due to temperature dierence!
► If there is a considerable temperature dierence between the bed and the place of operation (after transport/
storage), leave bed unconnected for 24 hours for the dierence to balance itself.
NOTE For safe, easy handling, LINET ® recommends having two technicians put the bed into service.
Set up the bed as follows:
► Unpack the bed.
► Check the delivery (see „7 Scope of Delivery and Product Variants“ on the page 38).
► Remove isolating foil from the accumulator box (see „8.1 Accumulator Activation“ on the page 41).
► Raise siderails up.
► Install equipment and accessories.
► In case of delivery with dismantled head board and foot board, mount the head board and foot board correctly.
► Set up the bed exclusively on a suitable oor surface (see „8.9 Transport“ on the page 52).
► Ensure that the Power Supply Cord is not in collision with something and it is not stretched when adjusting the bed.
► Check that the plug is inserted correctly into the mains.
► Do not leave any extension cords or power strips loose on the oor.
► Ensure that all of the required mechanical and electrical prevention mechanisms are available on site.
► There is no mains switch on the bed, i.e. the Power Supply Cord is the only means to isolate the bed from the mains.
Ensure that the Power Supply Cord is always accessible.
► Have the separable plug of the Power Supply Cord changed and maintained exclusively by qualied and trained service
technicians authorised by the manufacturer if the Power Supply Cord is damaged or most likely damaged.
