11 Manipulation
WARNING!
Risk of injury when adjusting the bed position and siderail position!
► Ensure that there are no body parts between the Mattress Support Platform elements and the Mattress Supp-
ort Platform frame when adjusting the bed.
► Ensure that there are no body parts between the siderails and the Mattress Support Platform frame when
adjusting the bed position and siderail position.
► Ensure that there are no body parts below the Mattress Support Platform frame before adjusting the bed.
CAUTION!
Risk of damaging the bed when overloading the Calfrest!
► Respect the maximum allowed load of the calfrest!
CAUTION!
Risk of damaging the bed when adjusting the bed position and siderail position!
► Avoid any collision during bed positioning and siderail adjustment!
WARNING!
Risk of injury, damaging or unintentional movement of the bed due to incorrect placement of accessories or
Handset Control Panel!
► Never place any accessories or Handset Control Panel on the siderails in the area where keyboards are
located.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to incorrectly latched siderail!
► Ensure that siderail is secured in the upper or lower position. Audible „click“ indicates the siderail locked in the
upper position. Push the siderail forward and backward to ensure the siderail is xed in the upper position!
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to incorrect position of siderails!
► Ensure that siderails are folded up while the patient is in bed. Prevent patient from falling o the bed when a
siderail is folded down! Hospital personnel is responsible for meeting this requirement.
► Plastic Head Siderail in lower position covers the CPR lever! Ensure the CPR lever is accessible when
necesary!
11.1 Plastic Siderails
The siderails are components of the bed in contact with patient.
The nursing personnel are responsible for the siderails being raised up while the patient is in the bed.
