Explanation: Set Cisco Hdlc Parameters.
Parameters: interval Keep alive interval in seconds. The possible ranges from 1 to 3600. The
default value is 10 seconds
timeout The period in seconds that the device will assume that the link is down if
not receiving any keep alive packets. The value must be a multiple of the
keep alive interval. For example, if the keep alive interval you c
hoose is
3 seconds, then the timeout value choices would be 3 seconds, 6 seconds,
9 seconds, 12 seconds…etc.
Command: >set wan1 ip
Syntax: set wan1 ip ip_addr net_mask
Explanation: sets WAN port’s IP address.
Parameters: ip_addr IP address of the WAN port
net_mask subnet mask of the WAN port
Command: >set wan1 ppp add
Syntax: set wan1 ppp add name passwd
Explanation:
add ppp authentication server name and password
Parameters: name
passwd
server name (<256 bytes)
password (<256 bytes)
Command: >set wan1 ppp authentication
Syntax: set wan1 ppp authentication auth_type
Explanation:
setting ppp authentication type.
Parameters: auth_type
(+)pap/(+)chap/-pap/-chap/none
Command: >set wan1 ppp delete
Syntax: set wan1 ppp delete name
Explanation:
delete ppp authentication server name and password
Parameters: name
server name (<256 bytes)
Command: >set wan1 ppp direction
Syntax: set wan1 ppp direction direction
Explanation:
setting ppp authentication direction.
Parameters: direction
server/client
Command: >set wan1 ppp localname
Syntax: set wan1 ppp localname name
Explanation:
setting ppp local name.
Parameters: name
local name (<256 bytes)
Command: >set wan1 protocol
Syntax: set wan1 protocol protocol [lmi_type] [n391] [n392] [n393] [t391]
Explanation: Sets layer-2 protocol of WAN1.
Parameters: protocol hdlc – Loop proprietary HDLC protocol
ppp – PPP
chdlc – Cisco HDLC
frame_relay – Frame Relay
