for damage,
wear,
peeling,
cracks,
and hardening.
Replace
the timing
belt il necessary.

with cleanlng
fluids.
ll necessary,
use a
solt lag to wiPe
them
clean,
and avoid scratching
them.
Check the
tensioner and
idlerfor smooth
rotation and abnor-
mal noise.
Fleplace the tensioner
or
idler il necessary

length of
the tensioner
spring. Replace the
tensioner
spring
