6. Ambient Air Temperature of 5-35°C
7. Relative Humidity of 10-90%.
8. Refer to product specifications for additional information.
This equipment is not suitable for use in locations where unprotected per-
sons or children may be present. Keep away from sources of shock or
vibration.
Proper enclosures have to be used to secure a laser safe work area. This includes
but is not limited to laser safety signs, interlocks, appropriate warning devices and
training/safety procedures. Do not operate with the laser torch at eye level.
2.7.1 Emitted Noise Level During Use
The sound produced by this product can exceed 80 db(A) in some conditions of
use. This level may be regarded as a hazard by some authorities. The sound
pressure level should be measured in conditions of actual use. The use of protec-
tive earpieces and/or other sound mitigation means such as barriers or baffles
may be required. Follow local requirements, codes and regulations.
For product installation within the European Union, please reference standard EN
ISO 11553-3.
2.7.2 Humidity
Do not expose the device to a high-moisture environment (>90% humidity).
2.7.3 Cooling and Temperature
The laser device is air-cooled. Operation at higher temperatures will accelerate
aging, increase threshold current and lower slope efficiency. If the device is
overheated, do not use it and call Miller Service for assistance. The device will turn
emission off automatically and generate an alarm when the temperature of the
laser exceeds 55°C.
WARNING
Ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) is suitable for the output
power and wavelength range listed on the laser safety labels that are affixed to
the laser.
Inattentive or careless actions and operation can result in injuries to the operator
due to reflected or scattered laser radiation.
NOTICE
Inattentive, careless actions and operation can damage this laser equipment.
Use caution while operating this equipment.
Follow all safety, operating and maintenance instructions in this Owner’s Man-
ual.
