48a Detect winding
failure
• The take-up sensor value
does not change even
when feed is executed for
the specified distance
during printing.
1. Check to confirm the media is correctly
positioned.
2. Check the D-sub terminal connection for
damage.
3. Check to confirm the take-up unit rotates.
4. Replace the take-up unit.
5. Replace the Base IO PCB.
504 CLAMP UP • The clamp lever is lifted.
1. Perform [#Test] > [Sensor] > [LEVER] to
confirm that the ON/OFF indication changes
when the clamp lever is moved up and down
by hand.
2. Check the Base IO PCB CN11 cable
connection for damage.
3. Replace the clamp sensor.
4. Replace the Base IO PCB.
505 Media Jam • The media jam sensor
was triggered.
1. Remove the media making contact and set
new media.
2. Clean the media retainer.
3. Perform [#Test] > [Sensor] > [MEDIA JAM L/R]
to confirm that the ON/OFF indication changes
when the operator touches the media jam
sensor.
4. Check the jam sensor cable connection for
damage.
5. Check the cable connection for damage
between the Main PCB (CN104/CN106) and
the Slider M PCB (CN11).
6. Replace the jam sensor.
7. Perform Jam Sensor Unit Height Adjustment.
8. Replace the Slider M PCB.
9. Replace the Main PCB.
509 HDC POSCNT • A difference was detected
between the Linear
encoder scale and the Y-
drive motor encoder
value.
1. Perform [#Test] > [Check Encoder] to confirm
the motor encoder and scale encoder values
vary linearly.
2. Check the Linear encoder scale and 150LPI
Encoder PCB for proper mounting and for dirt
and damage.
3. Check the cable connection for damage
between the Main PCB (CN104/CN106) and
the Slider M PCB (CN11).
4. Check the Y-drive motor cable connection for
damage.
5. Replace the Linear encoder scale.
6. Replace the 150LPI Encoder PCB.
7. Replace the Y-drive motor.
50a Y Org Detect Error • Y-axis origin sensor
detection failed.
1. Perform [#TEST] > [SENSOR] > [Y-ORG] to
confirm the ON/OFF status changes
automatically when the carriage is moved left
and right.
2. Check the Y origin sensor cable connection for
damage.
