mounting state.
3. Perform [#Test] > [Paper Sensor] to confirm
that the sensor values change on the media
and on the platen.
4. Replace the mark sensor PCB.
5. Replace the Slider M PCB.
50f L-SCALE BLACK • Linear scale abnormality.
1. Perform [#Test] > [Check Encoder] to check
the scale encoder value (E).
2. Check the Linear encoder scale and 150LPI
Encoder PCB for proper mounting and for dirt
and damage.
3. Replace the Linear encoder scale.
4. Replace the 150LPI Encoder PCB.
5. Replace the Slider M PCB.
516 Media Set Position

• The media placement
position is outside the
operating range.
1. Check to confirm the media is correctly
positioned. (Check to confirm the media holder
is in place and no printing occurs on the
margins of the media.)
2. Clean the media width sensor. Check the
mounting state.
3. Perform [#Test] > [Paper Sensor] to confirm
that the sensor values change on the media
and on the platen.
4. Replace the mark sensor PCB.
528 PUMP MOTOR
SENSOR
• A problem was detected in
the pump motor route
switching sensor.
1. Perform [#Test] > [Sensor] > [PUMP MOTOR]
to confirm that the ON/OFF indication changes
each time the SEL Key is pressed.
2. Replace the pump sensor.
3. Replace the Selective Route Pump.
4. Replace the Base IO PCB.
54b Media Press • Media retainer detection
failed.
1. Check to confirm the media is correctly
positioned. (Check to confirm the media holder
is in place and no printing occurs on the
margins of the media.)
2. Clean the media width sensor. Check the
mounting state.
54c Vacuum Fan Err • A Vacuum Fan (1 to 4)
speed problem was
detected.
1. Replace the Vacuum Fan.
54d Head Fan Error • The head fan was
detected as stopped.
1. Check to confirm that nothing prevents the
head fan from rotating.
2. Replace the head.
