604 Check Waste Ink

The waste ink tank
reached the stipulated
level.
1. Perform [MAINTENANCE] > [WasteInk Tank]
to adjust or reset the counter.
605 Replace Wiper The wiper needs to be
replaced.
1. Perform [MAINTENANCE] > [STATION
MAINT.] > [REPLACE WIPER] to replace the
wiper. (This will reset the counter.)
608 Wrong Ink IC More ink was used than
specified.
1. Replace the ink IC chip.
60a Excess Ink Usage The ink usage amount
stored in the ink IC chip
exceeded the preset
value.
The ink IC chip was not
replaced during ink
replacement. (The same
chip continued to be
used.)
The printer continued to
be used with defective
nozzle discharge
(excessive missing dots).
(State in which actual
levels do not decrease but
the internal IC count
continues)
1. Replace the ink IC chip.
*Do not continue using the same ink IC chip.
60c Ink Type The machine ink type
does not match the ink IC
chip.
1. Check the ink type registered in the machine.
2. Replace the ink IC chip.
629 Expiration Near The ink has reached its
expiration date.
The ink can be used for
up to two months past the
expiration date.
1. Check the date registered in the machine.
*If the ink expiration date does not match the
display conditions
62a Expiration Over The ink is past its
expiration date and can no
longer be used.
More than two months
have passed since the ink
expiration date.
1. Replace the ink and ink IC chip.
2. Check to confirm the date is registered in the
machine.
*If the ink expiration date does not match the
display conditions
631 Ink Color The machine ink set does
not match the ink IC chip.
1. Check the ink set registered in the machine.
2. Replace the ink IC chip.
650 NCU Connect No NCU was detected.
1. Check the cable connection for damage
between the PD_AMP PCB (CN1) and the
Base IO PCB (CN11).
2. Replace the NCU.
3. Replace the Base IO PCB.
