12.7 Making NIBP Analysis
NIBP analysis provides the user a dynamic analysis of NIBP changes and distribution over
the time scale. It allows you to know the patient’s condition of the latest 24 hours before you
entering the [NIBP Analysis] window.
To make NIBP analysis:
1. Select the ECG parameter window or waveform area to enter the [ECG Setup] menu.
2. Select the [NIBP Analysis >>] tab.
 Analysis area: The area provides information including time duration, average
NIBP, daytime average NIBP, nighttime average NIBP, maximum NIBP, daytime
maximum NIBP, nighttime maximum NIBP,minimum NIBP, daytime minimum
NIBP, night time minimum NIBP and normal NIBP ratio. The normal NIBP range
is set based on NIBP limits.
 [Nighttime]: Set the period for NIBP analysis at night time. The minimum period
can be set to 30 minutes.
 [Print]: Select it to print out the NIBP analysis report.
You can also click anywhere in the [NIBP Analysis] window to enter the [Review] window.

12.8 Changing NIBP Settings
By selecting the NIBP parameter window, you can enter the [NIBP Setup] menu.
12.8.1 Setting the Initial Cuff Inflation Pressure
You can set the initial cuff inflation pressure manually. In the [NIBP Setup] menu, select
[Initial Pressure] and then select the appropriate setting.
NOTE
z For known hypertensive patients, you need to set initial cuff pressure to a higher
value to reduce the measurement time.
