■ Cutoff length (c) and traversing speed
The following traversing speeds can be selected for the cutoff lengths.

TIP If the cutoff length is set to 0.8 mm, either 0.5 mm/s or 0.25 mm/s can be selected
as the traversing speed. For more information refer to section 5.8, “Modifying the
Traversing Speed”.

TIP • If “MOTIF.R” is selected as the measured profile, the icon indicating the cutoff
length changes from [c] to [A].
• If “MOTIF.W” is selected as the measured profile, the icon indicating the cutoff
length changes from [lc] to [B].
• If assessed profile MOTIF.R/MOTIF.W is selected, the display content changes
from icon [N] that indicates the number of sampling lengths to icon [L] that sets
the evaluation length to an arbitrary length.
NOTE Only if the R profile in JIS ’94 Standard is selected, ls can be set to None.
