Procedure used to set the data range and cell interval
IMPORTANT Data range for creating a frequency histogram must be set with the maximum
value being greater than the minimum value. Data that does not satisfy this rule is
invalid. This rule also applies to modifying the data range previously set. Thus,
the order of entering the maximum and minimum values varies with the data
range to be set as follows:
Enter the maximum value and minimum value in this order if expanding the
data range.
Enter the minimum value and maximum value in this order to reduce the
data range.
Cell interval must be specified within the range displayed in parentheses below
the input field. A numeral value outside this range is assumed invalid.

(2.01 999.9m)
The cell interval will automatically be altered as appropriate according to the
modified data range of the frequency histogram.
Here we have an example procedure where the
maximum value, 4.00 m, minimum value,
2.00 m, and cell interval, 0.2 m, are to be
modified to 20.00 m, 10.00 m, and 1.00 m
respectively. Following the rule, the data range of
the frequency histogram will be expanded starting
with the modification of the maximum value.
