D.2 Setting up iSCSI Software Initiator
Settings for the Windows Server 2008 R2 environment are described below.
D.2.1 Overview
Perform the following steps to connect the application server and disk array in Windows environments.
Confirm that an LD set has been created by iSM.
For details, refer to the Configuration Setting Tool
User’s Manual (GUI) for the M Series.
Log on to the target.
For details, refer to Section D.2.2: Logon Steps in
Windows Environments
Confirm that the OS recognizes the logical disk.
For details, refer to Section C.3.2: Confirmation
Steps in Windows Environments.
Check PathManager settings and status.
For details, refer to Section C.3.3: Check the
PathManager Settings and Status.
If PathManager will not be used, this step is not
necessary.
