Chapter 1 - OVERVIEW
INTRODUCTION
The PR2 plus is a mid-range specialized printer for the banking environment able to handle documents (both multi-
copy and not) and passbooks for deposit/withdrawal transactions.
This highly versatile printer can also be used for Public Administration front-office transactions or in Post Offices.
The PR2 plus SC model of the printer integrates a colour scanner with a front/back 600 dpi resolution The printer
can be configured with the following optional components:
• "Horizontal Magnetic" unit for reading/writing horizontal magnetic stripes
• MICR
(Magnetic Ink Character Reader) unit for reading CMC7 / E13B characters printed on cheques.
• Con
sole with optional LCD display (shown in the following figure).
The PR2 Plus printer is available with or without an LCD display.
