FAULT CLASSIFICATION
To simplify the tracing of faults, these have been divided into:
• Faults at power-on;
• Faults during writing of the document;
• Faults with document handling.
The most frequent faults encountered and possible remedies are listed for each assy.
The classifications provided cannot cover all the faults that may occur; if the fault is not amongst those classified, it
may be useful to refer to the description of a similar fault.
Faults at power-on

X Mains voltage absent/incorrect
Check the presence and specifications of
the voltage supply
X Mains cable damaged Replace the power cable

X Fuse blown Replace the fuse.
X Fault in the power supply unit

XXMotherboard fault
Replace the motherboard. See the section

X Fault in the front photosensors
Carry out the calibration procedure. See
the section“CALIBRATING THE

X Fault in the carriage photosensor
Carry out the calibration procedure. See

X Machine cover open Check that the cover is closed correctly.
X Document jammed in machine
Remove the document. See the section
