7. Remove the two fuel tank bracket fasteners (D) that
retain the fuel tank in the chassis. Swing the tank
brackets clear of the fuel tank for removal.
8. Remove the three plastic ties (E) retaining the main
wire harness to the fuel tank.
9. Slide the fuel tank toward front of vehicle and remove
the tank from vehicle.
FUEL TANK INSTALLATION
1. Reinstall the fuel tank into the chassis taking care not
to damage brake lines or the wire harness.
2. Install three plastic tie straps to retain the wire
harness to the fuel tank.
3. Install fuel tank brackets and two fasteners retaining
fuel tank to chassis. Torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Fuel Tank Bracket Fasteners:
8 lb-ft (11 Nm)
4. Reconnect the fuel pump electrical harness.
5. Install the fuel line and vent line, and verify they are
secure.
6. Install the main floor.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Test the fuel
pump by turning on the key and listening for the
pump to activate.
8. Install storage bins and driver and passenger seat
bases.
