Initial Rx modem rate(kbps)
These bits set the initial starting modem
rate for reception.
Use a lower setting if high speeds pose
problems during reception.
If a modem rate 14.4 kbps or slower is
selected, V.8 protocol should be
disabled manually.

Modem types available for reception
The setting of these bits is used to inform the transmitting terminal of the available
modem type for the machine in receive mode.
If V.34 is not selected, V.8 protocol must be disabled manually.
