Setting the Heat Extractor
The heat extractor is a tool that presses the Object Holder from
above to shorten the time needed to freeze the tissue sample.
The heat extractor is available in two sizes of standard and large
(optional).
Put the heat extractor on the parking plate for greater cooling
efficiency.
1. Set the heat extractor at the tip of the arm installed on the
Cryobar rail in the chamber [1].
2. Put the heat extractor on the parking plate [2].
3. Press the "Cryo+" button among the buttons on the right side of
the screen, and the Cryo+ will be cooled to -50°C or below to cool
the parking plate and the heat extractor on top.
The Cryo+ will be cooled continuously for 15 minutes after the button
is pressed.
The heat extractor can be put directly on the parking plate
