Explanation of Terms
Periodic defrost cycle and ozone cycle. Cleaning operation is performed when always-on
operation is set.
Function to defrost by raising the temperature in the chamber.
Function to suction air in the top part of the chamber from both sides of the window when the
window is opened, to keep contaminated air from diffusing out of the chamber.
Suctioned air is passed through the HEPA filter in the rear of the instrument and t
the outside.
The specimen head is close to the blade holder (disposable blade) (sectioning start position).
The specimen head can be moved to the preset sectioning start position.
Limit the instrument user by password entry.
The instrument is logged on when the password has been entered, and logged off when the
password has not been entered.
Function to remove bacteria by generating ozone in the chamber.
Perform the defrost cycle and ozone cycle, followed by the instrument switching to the sleep
mode.
Automatic shutdown under scheduled operation and manual shutdown can be implemented.
Mode in which cooling is stopped and temperature adjustment is not performed. The purpose of
this mode is to save energy.
Once in the standby mode, the instrument performs the following:
• Turn off the backlight.
• Hold the specimen head temperature at -20°C.
• Move the specimen head to a safe position (back).
• Automatically log off the user.
