Types of Cryobars and Object Holders
Types of Cryobar Removable Plates
The Cryobar removable plate set on the Cryobar in the chamber is available in total four types.
A number is marked at the hole in each removable plate. This is for easy identification because all you need
is to use the Object Holder bearing the same number.
Use the Cryobar removable plate matching the Object Holder.
Setting
Set the Cryobar removable plate on the Cryobar.
The Object Holder is printed with a number. Set the removable plate by making sure this number remains
visible.
Types of Object Holders
One of total 6 types of Object Holders can
be set to the Cryobar removable plate
(including 4 standard types, 1 resin holder
type and one Cryo3 adapter type).
Each standard Object Holder bears a
number. This is for easy identification
because all you need is to use the
Cryobar removable plate bearing the
same number.
Use the Object Holder matching the
Cryomold.
The standard round type and square type
have a knob for easy separation of the
frozen tissue sample from the Cryomold.

Square resin Object Holder (26 x 31
mm)
* Optional
This Object Holder made of resin transfers
little heat. Use it when you encounter
difficulty cooling/freezing the tissues in the
chamber. Refer to p. 2-36 for details.
Adapter for Cryo3 Object Holder
* Optional
This adapter lets you use the Cryo3 Object
Holder with the Polar® instrument. Refer to
p. 2-37 for details.
