Disassembling/Cleaning the Stage
The stage is a black part that presses down the disposable blade and
carries the cut section.
Disassemble and clean the stage as debris and trimmings collect in it.
1. Tilt toward you the disposable blade mounting lever indicated in
red, to unlock and pull out the lever [1].
2. Lift the stage to remove [2].
3. Wipe the disassembled parts and blade holder with a dry cloth, etc.
4. When the cleaning is complete, set them back in their original
positions.
Put the projection on the back of the stage into the hole provided in
the blade holder, to set the stage [3]. Set the stage by paying attention
to its orientation. If the stage is oriented wrongly, the lever will not go
in or lock.
Handle the blade holder and stage with care because if they are
damaged, sectioning may be affected.
Disassembling/Cleaning the Wave Washer and Lever
Locking Bracket of the Blade Holder (Base)
On the blade holder base, the wave washer (spring) and lever locking
bracket for securing the stage in the chamber are set.
If the wave washer is not inserted, the blade holder cannot be locked
and sectioning won't be performed. Be careful not to lose the wave
washer.
1. Slide the moving part of the blade holder and disassemble the
moving part, and the lever locking bracket becomes accessible at
the base of the blade holder.
2. Pull out the lever locking bracket to find the wave washer fitted
below it.
3. Wipe the disassembled parts and blade holder with a dry cloth, etc.
4. When the cleaning is complete, set them back in their original
positions.
Set the wave washer in the hole first, and then set the lever locking
bracket on top of that. Check the projection in the hole and set the
lever locking bracket by aligning its groove with the projection.
If it is oriented wrongly, the lever will not go in or lock in the chamber.
Before returning the blade holder to its original position, make
sure the blade holder is completely dry.
