Various Settings
Setting the Section Thickness
You can set the section thickness to section the specimen to.
The section thickness can be set on the [SECTION] Tab Screen or [MOTORIZED] Tab Screen.
Adjust the thickness according to the type and condition of the section.
How to Change in the Manual Sectioning Mode
1. Press the "Section Thickness Setting" button in the bottom
left-hand corner of the [SECTION] Tab Screen.
2. The section thickness setting screen appears.
3. Press the ""/"" buttons among the "Value Change" buttons
to change the value of section thickness.
The settable range is 1 to 99 µm. The sectionable thickness is 3
µm or more.
A desired value can be set as a multiple of 1 µm between 1 and
15. A desired value can be set as a multiple of 5 µm between 15
and 99.
4. Pressing the “Enter” button saves the setting, after which the
display returns to the [SECTION] Tab Screen.
If no operation has been performed for 5 minutes, the setting is
not saved and the screen closes automatically.
How to Change in the Motorized Sectioning Mode
The section thickness can be changed only when the motorized
sectioning mode is FINE or PAUSE. If TRIM is selected, the
"Section Thickness Setting" button cannot be pressed.
1. Press the "Section Thickness Setting" button in the bottom
left-hand corner of the [MOTORIZED] Tab Screen.
2. The section thickness setting screen appears.
3. Press the ""/"" buttons among the "Value Change" buttons
to change the value of section thickness.
The settable range is 1 to 99 µm. The sectionable thickness is 3
µm or more.
