Adjusting the Blade Holder
You can perform a number of operations relating to the blade holder set in the chamber, such as changing
the disposable blade, adjusting the blade angle (relief angle) and position, and setting the Anti-Roll Plate
and vacuum suction port.
Blade angle (relief angle) adjustment bolt (hex)
You can adjust the blade angle (relief angle) by loosening this bolt. Refer to p. 2-31 for details.
Blade guard
This guard prevents the tip of the disposable blade from being exposed. Refer to p. 1-14 for details.
Stage
The cut section is placed on top. The cut section is collected on the stage.
Lever (red): Disposable blade mounting lever
Unlock this lever to change the disposable blade or remove the stage. Refer to p. 2-8 and 3-8 for details.
Lever (yellow): Blade holder left/right lever
Unlock this lever to slide the blade holder to adjust its lateral position. Refer to p. 2-9 for details.
Lever (blue): Blade holder mounting lever
Unlock this lever to remove the blade holder from the chamber. Refer to p. 2-32 for details. If the Cryo3
adapter is used, refer to p. 2-33 for the installation position which is different from the normal position.
Vacuum hose attachment port
A vacuum hose can be attached to this port. Refer to p. 3-3 for details.
Vacuum suction port
Debris and trimmings generated during sectioning can be suctioned from this port. Refer to p. 2-34 for
details.
Anti-Roll Plate
Refer to p. 2-29 for information on how to use the Anti-Roll Plate.
