Name of Each Part (Exterior)
[1] Window and chamber
The window is designed with an anti-fogging feature. To open the window, lift the handle and push it
away from you. Refer to p. 1-6 for the details of the chamber.
[2] Left panel
This panel is used to operate the vacuum function, move the specimen head (specimen holder) forward
and backward, and operate the trim function. Refer to p. 1-5 for details.
[3] Status lamps and display
This touch panel is used to perform various operations and settings. Refer to p. 1-5 for the status lamps.
[4] Emergency stop switch
This switch is used to stop the microtome operation. Refer to p. 1-13 for details.
[5] Right panel (DM only)
Motorized sectioning can be started or stopped and the sectioning speed adjusted on this panel, among
others. Refer to p. 1-5 for details.
[6] USB port, LAN port, foot switch port (DM only)
Refer to p. 1-4 for details.
[7] Handwheel lock tab
This lever is used to lock the handwheel. Refer to p. 1-8 for details.
[8] Handwheel with handle
This handwheel is used during sectioning. Refer to p. 1-7 for details.
[9] Main power switch
[10] Waste tank
Liquid waste is collected here during the defrost cycle. Refer to p. 3-2 for the setting method.
[11] Foot rest
This foot rest is used during sessions.
[12] Adjusters (lockdown feet)
These adjusters are used to secure the system.
