Troubleshooting
Error Codes Displayed during System Operation
The troubleshooting chart below lists problems that may occur during system operation. Possible causes
and remedial actions are described for each problem. Utilize this information to identify the system
condition and resolve the problem. If the problem cannot be resolved or the applicable condition is not listed,
contact the nearest authorized Sakura distributor or representative. Each value in the table indicates the
applicable error number.
* If an unexpected problem occurred and the condition cannot be rectified easily, turn off the power
immediately. Contact the nearest authorized Sakura distributor or representative.
If the error message disappeared, check the error log (p. 1-51).
Restart the instrument. If the problem
persists, contact the Sakura
The instrument was restarted following a
power outage.
The microtome and blade holder
may be frozen, so check the
Abnormal backup RAM data was found.
Restart the instrument. If the problem
persists, contact the Sakura
authorized distributor.
70, 80, 100, 110
to 115, 121 to
Instrument file could not be read.
120, 127, 131,
133, 140, 150,
Instrument file could not be written.
A USB process was performed when no
USB memory device was connected.
Connect a USB memory device.
UPDATE
A file error occurred while the software
was being updated.
Restart the instrument. If the problem
persists, contact the Sakura
ABNORMAL CHAMBER
SENSOR READING: LOW TEMP.
Disconnected temperature sensor
Contact the Sakura authorized
distributor.
SENSOR READING: HIGH
Short-circuited temperature sensor
TIME OUT: CHAMBER COOLING
Temperature did not drop within a
specified time. (The chamber window is
open or the air intake grille is blocked or
the ambient temperature may exceed 35
degree C.)
If the window is open, close the
window and see what happens.
If dust and dirt are trapped in the air
intake grille for air-cooling on the left
side of the instrument, suction them
with a vacuum cleaner, etc. Check
indoor environmental conditions.
If the problem persists, contact the
Sakura authorized distributor.
EXCEED 35°C. CHECK INDOOR
ENVIRONMENTAL
CONDITIONS.
TIME OUT: CHAMBER HEATING
Temperature did not rise within a specified
time.
Contact the Sakura authorized
distributor.
ABNORMAL CHUCK SENSOR
READING: LOW TEMP.
Disconnected temperature sensor
ABNORMAL CHUCK SENSOR
READING: HIGH TEMP.
Short-circuited temperature sensor
Temperature did not drop within a
specified time.
If the window is open, close the
window and see what happens. If
contaminants are trapped in the
cooling air suction port on the left
side of the instrument, suction them
with a vacuum cleaner, etc. If the
problem persists, contact the Sakura
Temperature did not rise within a specified
time.
Contact the Sakura authorized
distributor.
ABNORMAL CRYO+ SENSOR
READING: LOW TEMP.
Disconnected temperature sensor
READING: HIGH TEMP.
Short-circuited temperature sensor
