12. The relay illuminates the CONTROL ENABLED front-panel LED if the relay settings were
retained through the download. If the CONTROL ENABLED LED is illuminated, proceed
to Step 13; otherwise, reload the relay settings with the procedure below.
Set your communications software settings to 2400 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit.
Enter Access Level 2 by issuing the ACC and 2AC commands.
Issue the R_S command to restore the factory default settings in the relay. If the
relay requests a part number (PARTNO), enter the part number accompanying this
upgrade. The relay will then reboot with the factory default settings.
If the relay doesn’t accept
the R_S command, then issue the INI command at Access
Level 2. Answer “Y” to the question, “Are the new I/O board(s) correct (Y/N)?” In
this case, the relay settings were retained, but the I/O board configuration was not
retained through the download. Answering “Y” renews the I/O board configuration.
Enter Access Level 2.
Verify the calibration settings by issuing the SHO C command. If the settings do not
match the settings recorded in Step 3, reissue the settings with the SET C command.
Issue a VER command and verify the configuration of the relay is correct.
Set the EZ, FZ, Relay Group, Logic, Global, SER, and Text settings with each of the
following commands: SET EZ 1, SET EZ 2, SET EZ 3, SET EZ 4, SET EZ 5,
SET EZ 6, SET FZ, SET 1, SET 2, SET 3, SET 4, SET 5, SET 6, SET L 1, SET L 2,

SET T.
Set the relay passwords via the PAS command.
13. Execute the STATUS command to verify all relay self-test parameters are within tolerance.
14. Apply current and voltage signals to the relay. Issue the METER command; verify the
current and voltage signals are correct. Issue the TRIGGER and EVENT commands. Verify
the current and voltage signals are correct in the EVENT report.
