Overcurrent Element Timing Test Setup
Set the operations settings “=1” (i.e., Operations-phase fast curve =
1, Operations-ground fast curve = 1, Operations to lockout-phase =
1, and Operations to lockout-ground = 1).
Set the other curves, not being tested, to OFF (e.g., if testing Delay
curve-ground, set Fast curve-phase = OFF, Fast curve-ground =
OFF, and Delay curve-phase = OFF).
If testing a ground overcurrent element, enable the ground
overcurrent element with the TERRA HABILITADO operator
control – otherwise disable the ground overcurrent elements with the
TERRA HABILITADO operator control.
If testing the SEF overcurrent element, enable the SEF overcurrent
element with the SEF HABILITADO operator control - otherwise
disable the SEF overcurrent element with the SEF HABILIATDO
operator control.
Program additional output contacts as needed to connect to a timing
unit (e.g., program an extra trip contact for overcurrent element
timing – see preceding Output Contacts subsection).
Delay and fast curve overcurrent element specifications are found in the
Specifications section (Time-Overcurrent Elements). The curve
characteristics are listed in Section 9: Setting the SEL-351P Recloser
Control in the SEL-351P Manual Técnico.
