Testing
SEL-351P Quick-Start Installation and User's Guide (Portuguese) 67
TESTING
Read and understand preceding sections so that the SEL-351P can be
safely grounded, powered up, and set. Especially understand the
Installation section.
Testing the SEL-351P Recloser Control Without Regularly Installed
Apparatus
Refer to Figure 3 and Figure 4 in the Installation section. If the
regularly installed apparatus outside the SEL-351P (i.e., the recloser, the
external capacitor circuitry, and batteries) is not available during testing,
then some settings and connections changes have to be made to
compensate.
Logic Settings Changes
Refer to the SEL-351 P Manual Técnico, Section 10: Serial Port
Communications and Commands, specifically the SHO and SET
commands. Factory default logic settings are listed under the SHO L
command. Make the following logic settings changes with the SET L
command:
CL = (PB8*LT4+CC)*LT7
[normal setting is: CL = (PB8*LT4+CC)*LT7*TRCAP*CLCAP]
The dependence on the trip and close capacitors is removed as a
requirement to issue a front panel close via the CLOSE operator
control or via the serial port close command. See the Close Logic
subsection in Section 1: Factory-Set Logic in the SEL-351 P
Manual Técnico for explanation about the CL logic setting.
79CLS = 1
[normal setting is: 79CLS =
TRCAP*CLCAP*!NOBATT*BCBOK*!DTFAIL]
The dependence on the trip and close capacitors and the batteries is
removed as a requirement to issue an auto-reclose. See the Reclose
Supervision Logic subsection in Section 1: Factory-Set Logic in
the SEL-351 P Manual Técnico for explanation about the 79CLS
logic setting.
Important: When testing is finished, return these settings back to
normal.
Front Panel Status LEDs
Ignore the FONTE CA and BATERIA PROBLEMA LEDs. With no
battery connected, the BATERIA PROBLEMA LED will be illuminated
constantly.
Observe Recloser Count
Sequencing During Testing:
See Pushbutton Primary
Functions subsection in the
Front-Panel Interface section
(OUTROS pushbutton – select
"79").
