6.3.8 Move cycles
Machine manufacturer
The cycles can be protected individually on the MMC. On the NCK side, they
are normally dissolved for non-authorized editing from the PLC.
Cycles can be prevented from unauthorized read-out by the PLC.
This provides an active protection of the expertise of the machine
manufacturer or the user. It is then no longer possible for the operator to
disable and enable at will (see machine tool manufacturer’s documentation)!
The SIEMENS cycles and the user cycles are stored on the hard disk. You can
load the cycles into the memory using the LOADCYC job list command (see
the Section "Syntax description for job lists").
If the cycle disable (see the machine manufacturer’s documentation) is
configured, you can cancel a cycle protection by modifying the access rights to
the NCK memory.(see the Section "Changing the access rights").
You can now rename, copy and edit the cycle in the NCK memory just like a
normal subroutine. You can assign the cycle as a subroutine to a workpiece.
(according to the machine manufacturer’s planning).
The cycle disable must be configured by the machine manufacturer, i.e. only
cycles created by the machine manufacturer can be protected by a cycle
disable.
