Seamless ENC/ARCS
TIME DEPENDENT WARNING
Each ENC object may have a time dependent behavior. Indeed, a specific object can be
dangerous during a limited period of time starting and ending at times specified by the data
producers.
ACCURACY
The accuracy of calculations performed by ECDIS is independent of the characteristics of the
display and the calculation error is always less than the data accuracy of the most accurate
SENC.
The resolution of the screen gives the limits of the accuracy of the displayed bearings and
distances.
SEAMLESS ENC/ARCS
It is possible to display the best chart coverage for the area using all available chart
collections. In general the ENC, AVCS and ARCS can be displayed at the same time if
ENC+AVCS and with ARCS are ticked on.
If ARCS charts are installed together with ENC the chart on the screen can be displayed in
seamless mode, meaning that for the area of the screen not covered by ENC charts, ARCS
charts is used to complete the pictures.
