SAR MODULE OVERVIEW

ENERAL
The purpose of the module is to help navigator to create SAR routes using selected options
meaning help to plan SAR operation. Depending on the user needs it is possible to create
three types of routes:
•
Expanding square
•
Sector
•
Parallel line
ACCESS TO THE SAR MODULE
Right click in the button Create Route activate the following dialogue.
EXPANDING SQUARE OPTION
• The start point of the route is either the position of the ship or selected manually by
pressing the button By Cursor and plotting the starting point directly on the chart.
• Select the direction of search with the parameter Direction in the Drift panel.
• Select the speed to proceed the route in the Drift panel.
• Select the search area with the parameter Radius of search.
• Select the space between leg with the parameter Route spacing.
