Update by CD(DVD)
COMMUNICATION CHANNELS
The channel used for the communication depends on the communication system
architecture.
The updating service has been tested by using:
• Satellite systems Iridium or Inmarsat
• GSM communication
• High speed Internet connection
UPDATE BY CD(DVD)
A new C-MAP CD containing all updated C-MAP charts is automatically sent to each C-MAP
subscriber. Proceed as described in
REMARK
The chart permits are still valid and must not be re installed.
UPDATE VIA THE INTERNET (HTTP)
Proceed as follow:
• Establish the communication to your Internet provider.
• Press the button "Get update from Internet" in "Chart Handling".
• Then the procedure is automatic and several messages displayed in the Messages part of
the dialogue give information about the process.
function allows updating other ECDIS station by LAN after Update is completed.
COPY DATABASE
After Internet or Email update is completed, in case of dual ECDIS configuration, Copy
database function allows synchronising remote ECDIS by LAN.
• Select Accessible path and press "Copy database"
